I created these branding assets for a church in Entiat, Washington. A region of orchard farmers and those that support them, the people of Entiat community Church found their home in an old historic fruit warehouse on nearly 3 acres of property, directly on Highway 97A along the Columbia River Gorge. My mandate was to pull together the churches history, the history of this warehouse church made of of families of apple, pear, and cherry growers while paying homage to the shape of their unique property and location in a place of natural beauty. I found inspiration in classic fruit crate labels of from the region. Often hand painted or etched/engraved, they were full of color and symbolism. I have held on to those traits, perhaps against simplicity of todays designs trends, in the hopes of capturing the warmth, depth, and richness of this hard working community.
